Volunteer

The Business Education Council of Niagara is constantly seeking dynamic enthusiastic volunteers to assist us in providing a first-hand opportunity for young people to learn about individual career experiences and expertise.

FREQUENCY
Volunteering for the Speakers Spot is easy! Some volunteers give just one hour of time each week; others devote many hours. It’s up you! We’ll find an opportunity that fits your schedule and needs!

Volunteers are contacted by email or phone at least three weeks or more before the actual presentation date. It’s up to you whether or not you’re available.

Once a volunteer has confirmed a request, the BEC sends out a formal confirmation to both the teacher and volunteer. The connection is made and the teacher will now contact you directly.

DURATION
Depending on the individual teacher’s needs, presentations are about one hour in length (one whole period) or can be longer (two classes; two periods). In some instances, we’ll ask you to be a role model at one our student conferences.

We would be happy to add you to our pool of volunteer speakers! Sign up today! Please complete the form below. By volunteering, you’ll positively influence Niagara’s youth and invest in the development of our future labour force. Feel free to share this valuable service to any of your colleagues who may also wish to share their career experiences.
